Athletes to look out for at FISE Hiroshima

From a 17 year-old German to a skate shredder, a Polish pro to a flatland pioneer - here are some of the athletes to keep an eye on in Hiroshima...

Lara Lessmann (BMX Freestyle)

The 17-year-old German first caught our eye with an incredibly technical run at last year's FISE Budapest. The performance included effortlessly smooth no-foot can-cans and one-footed wall plants and earned Lara her first UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup win.
While she couldn't quite repeat her Budapest brilliance at the remaining stops of the 2017 World Series, we've seen enough of the talented teen to think she has every chance of topping the podium in Hiroshima.

George Poole (Skateboard)

Very few people on the FISE World roster can shred like George Poole. The young Brit learnt his trade in France where he chose to skate rails ahead of surfing beach breaks. George made his first appearance at the FISE World Series in 2014 and after a series of impressive displays, we think the 21-year-old is ready to mount a serious podium challenge...

Tomas Pryzybylik (Roller)

It's rare for such a smooth rider to possess the ability to go big at any moment, but fans are treated to this type of riding whenever Tomas takes to the park. The brilliant Pole introduced himself at last year's FISE World Series, taking 3rd place in both Budapest and Chengdu, and we think he's capable of taking gold in Hiroshima.

Moto Sasaki (BMX Flatland)

This list wouldn't be complete without mention of a Japanese athlete, so here it is, Moto Sasaki. If there's one Flatland rider who continues to take his riding to the next level, it's Moto.
With his technical style, balance-defying moto spins, and relentless dedication to training, Moto has sent crowds wild for over a decade, and we're expecting big things from Japan's Flatland Pioneer in front of a home crowd.
