Dave Lang is one of the many international riders ready to travel thousands of kilometers just to come participate to the FISE. He just arrived under the Montpellier sun and we grabbed him to ask him a few quick questions:
Hey Dave! Can you introduce yourself quickly?
D.L : My name is Dave Lang, I’m 22 and I live in Tehachapi, California. My sponsors are Shima Skate Manufacturing, Create Originals and King Crow Bearings.
Is it your first time at the FISE?
D.L : Yes! First time, and I’m super jet lagged but I’m really excited! It’s crazy to be here and I’m amped!
And is it your first time in France?
D.L : No, I went to Nantes once for another contest. I often passed by Paris without ever really having the time to stop. I’d really like to go one day! It’s my first time here in Montpellier and it seems to be an awesome place! Can’t wait to see more of it.
Did you go check out the rollerblade area? What did you think?
D. L : Yeah, it looks awesome! It’s exactly what I’ve always wanted to see on such a course: the use of the street’s slope, the irregularities of the urban features mixed with the new modules. Can’t wait to try it! Roller Blade is really made for this kind of course, very flowy with a lot of good things to take advantage of!
And what about the other riders? Do you think the level will be high?
D.L : Yeah, the level will be high for sure, it’s France! Some of the best paris riders are French: Romain Godenaire, Roman Abrate, Stephane Alfano… All these guys have an incredible level of riding, the competition should be huge !!!
Are you here to win?
D.L : It would be awesome, that’s for sure, but I didn’t come to win. I came to discover the FISE, take part in a huge event and have a good time!
Thanks a lot Dave, have a good night rest and an awesome contest!
