FISE Chengdu

France win 5 medals!

06 Nov 2018 12:07

The FISE World Series season ended on Sunday with a total of 5 medals for the French riders, including 2 golds in Roller Freestyle Park and BMX Freestyle Flatland.

Matthias Dandois, 29, won the overall UCI BMX Flatland World Cup title

Winner at FISE Hiroshima (Japan) and FISE Montpellier (France) and third at FISE Edmonton (Canada) and at FISE Chengdu, Matthias won the most points to reach the top of the overall rankings.

For the second gold medal, it is Manon Derrien, the 26-year-old French girl who won gold at the World Skate Roller Freestyle Park World Cup.

Podium for Alex Jumelin

The battle was tight between Alex and Matthias throughout the year. The season was full of twists and turns but unfortunately, Alex was not on top form at this last decisive stage. Maybe too much pressure? In any case he comes back to France with a well-deserved silver medal.

France took Bronze in BMX Flatland and Skateboard

France took Bronze in BMX Flatland and Skateboard. Céline Vaes, from Montpellier, finished third overall on the podium with Japan's Misaki Katigari taking home the gold. The champion of France has been training hard for 10 months at the FISE Flat Academy school in Baillargues. In Skateboard, Joseph Garbaccio who we are used to seeing in France with the FISE Xperience Series and globally with the FISE World Series, remains one of our ones to watch, and wins the bronze in China.
