FISE Edmonton

Ones to Watch

12 Sep 2017 18:27
Edmonton is only a few days away.
If you’re on the lookout for any FISE athletes over the weekend’s competition, make sure it’s these 3…

Matthias Dandois
This is unheard of… Matthias Dandois hasn’t won a Flatland event yet in a FISE World Series. Finishing second to Canadian Jean-William Prevost in Montpellier, and then in fifth place in Budapest, Matthias is surely going to be looking to bring the heat and up his form for Edmonton.
You’ll want to tune in for the BMX Flatland Pros in Edmonton – the intimate undercover arena in Hawrelak Park makes for a special atmosphere. And we all know Matthias loves to perform for the fans…

Daniel Sandoval
Close, but no cigar. Daniel’s 2017 FISE World Series has seen him under-perform so far. We simply haven’t seen the best of him yet, and we think Edmonton could be the stop where the Californian unleashes his full potential.
We know this guy has the right tricks and the right course-lines to push for a podium place. Let’s not forget his 1st place finish in Montpellier in 2015. We’ve seen it before Daniel, let’s see it again.

Nicholi Rogatkin
When this guy gets moving on the slopes there’s few who can match him. Nicholi’s unrivalled bike-handling skills make him a joy to watch over the FISE MTB course, and the air he gets leaves jaws wide open.
We’re particularly pleased with our MTB Slopestyle course in Edmonton this year, and we think it’s one that suits the American rider. Still hurting from a 2nd place finish in Montpellier, we think Nicholi is focused purely on victory in Edmonton.

Be sure to catch these athletes in action at FISE World Series Edmonton on 15 – 17 September. Live on our Facebook and YouTube pages
