COUPE DU MONDE DE WAKESURF GRAU DU ROI

Debriefing

This week-end was the Opening of the FISE World Montpellier at Le Grau du Roi Port Camargue. It's a big first in the FISE Opening to welcome a wakesurfing World Cup Gold stop-off.

Despite a very changing weather, 8000 people came over the 2 days to watch the show with the best international riders (8 different nations : France, Russia, England, Canada, Suède, Pays-bas, USA, Suisse). The 400m long course was located on the channel of the maritime port of Le Grau du Roi Port Camargue, and the riders had to go and return while performing as many tricks as possible with 3 only three falls allowed. The riders were riding only a few meters from the crowd standing on each side of the channel, like on a Formula 1 track bringing the audience and the riders much closer than usual.

The two american brothers Keelan and Noah FEGEL both entered and dominated the contest. They gave us their feedback on the event as they really enjoyed its great family vibe and the quality of the spot and waves produced by the boat. Ashley Kidd successfully takes the win. The FISE World Montpellier is now officially launched, only 2 more days to wait and we'll have the big start ! See you on the Lez riversides from may 4 with a completely free event.
