FISE World Edmonton 2016

FISE WORLD SERIES, STOP 4, EDMONTON

16 Sep 2016 02:41

Here we go again.

Just off Denver, the FISE WORLD SERIES already go for another round in Edmonton, with a very anticipated canadian stopover. Welcome like kings by this city that loves festivals, the FISE is well set in the very nice Hawrelak park.

Built in the middle of a small valley where flows the Saskatchewan river, the Alberta's capital is a green city with woods where everyone can quickly feel comfortable. Here everything is set in place to sublimate these competitions where the challenges are gaining importance stopover after stopover.

After three stops, the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup is at its turning point. The logical favourite, Logan Martin, will try to catch up the veteran Daniel Dhers, while Brandon Loupos, winner in Denver, is hoping to keep up his momentum.

In Skateboarding, the battle promises to be intense between the two Frenchies Vincent Milou and Adrien Bulard who are side by side in the overall rankings, while the american headliners   Greg Lutzka (winner in Denver) and Redbull athlete Ryan Decenzo are, on paper, the favourites of the weekend.

A major sport in Canada, Mountain Bike is back. Montpellier's stopover top three riders being unfortunately absent in Edmonton, all looks will turn on the other stars of the FMB circuit, Drew Bezanson to begin with, the canadian icon, registered both in BMX Park and MTB. It will not be an easy game as the specialistes Brett Rheeder and Nicholi Rogatkin are currently amidst a serious battle on top of the FMB rankings and the FISE is actually a Gold stop of the circuit.

Finally, BMX Flatland is already expected to offer some of the best moments of the weekend. Chances are high to see the prodigy Matthias Dandois on top again…but a surprise is always possible with this spectacular battle. The amphitheater itslef promises to make of this contest an amazing show.

It is actually in that ideal location that the event kick off was officially given, with Don Iveson the very dynamic Edmonton mayor. Meanwhile, riders are starting to warm up on the different set ups, fun and pressure making a good mix to produce another top notch event.
