Art and Fise - Shore et Vince Interview

07 May 2016 18:49

Where do you come from ?

Shore : « I come from Nandy » (Seine-et-Marne)

Vince : « I come from Melun-Sénart » (Seine-et-Marne)

Wes, Shore and Vince ?

Shore : « It's like I'm throwing curses on walls and people. »

Vince : « My name is Vincent, so it's Vince. »

What are the specificities of you creations ?

Shore : « The typography, a name that changes everytime with the letters and the colors. I also create alphabets and I restyle letters »

Vince : « I'm more focused on the characters »

What led you to that wall painting ?

Shore : « We took part at the FISE through Diaz, my older brother's buddy, then with Sabrina to integrate the FISE.  From the two themes we preferred to go with China, then I worked considering the character produced by Vince. »

Vince : « We really liked The China theme. We looked for China pictures on internet. We choose the word - solidarity - because it goes well with the movement of our association, the Dip Social Klub. »

What do you think of street art within the FISE ? Any suggestions for future editions ?

Shore : « With the association of these two well-represented worlds, it's interesting to make this kind of service on a sports event, it's a change from Hip Hop events. With other editions, it would be interesting to paint on large canvas in order to preserve them at the end and exhibit them later ! »

Vince : « The FISE is a popular event because it's free, we make paintings for the people so it goes well with the event. And graffiti naturally fits the street, urban aspect of the FISE.  I think it's really important to let freedom of expression to the artists without necessarily giving them some themes. »

What are the next events and exhibits where we can find you ?

Shore and Vince : « We're preparing an exhibit with the association Dip Social Klub in 2017, late march or early may in a big hall, a famous place in Paris (we can't give out the name of the hall yet) and you're all invited ! »
