She has been one of the top women’s BMX for the past decade, with some saying she is the most influential female BMX rider in the world today. But did you know she has also appeared in blockbuster movies and can’t say no to pizza?
In the first of our latest blog series ‘21 Questions with…’ we caught up with Nina to find out more about the woman behind the bike.
Favourite place to ride?
Colorado in general, but I love the Frisco Bike Park.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
It’s hard to choose from so many rad things; like getting to have a cameo in a Vin Diesel movie XXX: Return of Xander Cage, becoming a video game character in Pumped BMX 3, finishing college, surviving , still riding BMX after all of my injuries, getting elected by BMX to represent them at the UCI as BMX rolls towards the Olympics. There’s so many to choose from!

I got tricked into singing La Bamba once, I’m good at being the one behind the mic from now on. But really, no thanks!
One food you could never give up?
Pizza! I’ll go great lengths to make a healthy pizza if I’m craving one.
Naughtiest thing you did as a kid?
I threw house parties while mom was out of town.

Who is the most famous person in your phone contacts?
Olympic Snowboarder Jamie Anderson or “Big Island Mike”.
What is your spirit animal?
“Waylon” - the cat at Empire BMX shop.
First celebrity crush?
Worst injury you’ve ever had?
Favourite sport other than the one you compete in?
To do, Mountain Biking. To watch, basketball .They are both high on my list.
