BATTLEDAY BEATS THE COMPETITION TO TAKE THE GOLD!

Today Aarhus water sports complex hosted the Men’s and Women’s Finals for the inaugural 2 Tower Cable Wakeboard World Cup and what an event it was. The conditions were perfect and locals lined the waterfront ready to cheer on the riders who had traveled here from all over the globe.

The level in the Men’s contest today was incredible, 6 riders had fought their way through the Qualifiers and Semi’s for a chance to be crowned the first ever winner of the IWWF 2 Tower Cable Wakeboard World Cup Aarhus.  In the end it was the Brits who dominated the Podium with Joey Battleday taking home the gold, his run was exceptional, packed with style and huge tricks. Just behind him in second place was 16 year old Axel Paget from France with a score of 87.00 only 2.6 points behind the winner, he is certainly a face to look out for in the future. In 3rd place was Kieran Owens with a score of 77.33.
