Today Aarhus water sports complex hosted the Men’s and Women’s Finals for the inaugural 2 Tower Cable Wakeboard World Cup and what an event it was. The conditions were perfect and locals lined the waterfront ready to cheer on the riders who had traveled here from all over the globe.
The Women were the first to take to the water, 6 ladies had made it through the tough qualifying rounds into the final and all were looking to try and get themselves a place on the Podium. All the girls rode exceptionally and it took the judges some time to work out the final order. In the end it was Claudia Pagnini who took home the gold medal, she has been on the podium at every contest she has entered this season and was unstoppable once again today thanks to a run full of style and stand out tricks such as her huge KBG. Elena Bodi Lopez from Spain was a close second place, she rode with her characteristic fluidity and landed her tricks with precision to take a well deserved silver medal. French rider Marie Rougier brought the style to the contest with nice tricks, full of flair, she heads back to France with a Bronze medal in her pocket.
