01 Jun 2019 21:08

It is hard to describe the atmosphere at today's semi- final. Flatland holds a special place in the hearts of the public here and they enjoyed every moment of this competition. The atmosphere was made even better by the MC, Kwet who as usual shared his joy and his good mood. A treat, all the elements were present to the delight of the spectators.

Terry Adams took a big risk in his run, the match was very tight, Dominik Nekolny had already impressed us in Hiroshima by giving us a technical run. While it was not perfect at Montpellier the level of linking was important and that's also important for the judges.

The young Japanese rider Takumi Isogai, barely 16 years old, landed trick after trick at almost incredible speed with very consistent rotations. He qualifies in 7th place.

The surprise of these semifinals is Matthieu Bonnecuelle who qualifies for the finals, an artistic and strong moment for this rider we know well.

In 3rd position, Alex Jumelin fought like a gladiator, this sportsman has a faculty to do freestyle and transform his run as he sees fit. A genius.

Moto Sasaki, the Japanese rider has a strong mastery and realizes unique, fast and original sequences. Which puts him in second position for tomorrow's finals. And to finish first Matthias Dandois who was at one with the public. "Les Lacs du Connemara" by Michel Sardou in the background, he had the crowd in a trance. He completed a a run without fault offering many technical and artistic varieties. A big exchange that makes us impatient to see the finals tomorrow!
